Clangula hyemalis

General Notes

In July 2000, the English name of Clangula hyemalis, formerly known as Oldsquaw, becomes Long-tailed Duck to conform with widespread usage of the latter name in the Old World, where this species also occurs.

November 13, 1997. A flock of 30 observed by Bruce Murphy at the New Liskeard sewage lagoons.
